Thank you for visiting Elmdale Play Garden, a place where your child will learn and grow for these magical early years! It’s an honor to play such a big part in their care, and to be working with you to help them flourish.

Early childhood is a delicate time that can set the course of a person’s life, and I look forward to helping you make this time full of wonder and joy!

Program Approach

Elmdale Play Garden provides a carefully prepared environment where children explore through play, creative art, musical experiences, and real-life activities. Life is the curriculum. Children feel comfortable and safe in a home-like setting where they play and learn to interact self-sufficiently within a small family group of mixed age peers. Children’s developing independence is fostered by modeling and setting individualized and developmentally appropriate expectations for mealtimes, self-care, and taking care of their environment. At Elmdale, children are treated with the utmost respect and are fed with whole, organic, nutritious meals along with receiving quality care.

I received my certification through the LifeWays of North America Early Childhood Program. My work is based on LifeWays principles and practices. LifeWays takes its inspiration from the roots of Waldorf Education and the developmental research of Rudolf Steiner and others.
